Whelping & Early Care

 

Our puppies are welcomed into the world within our home in a temperature-controlled space close to us so they are never far from our care. We are present, attentive and hands on from the very first moments of life.

• 24/7 supervision during whelping

• Puppies rotated to ensure equal milk access

• Checked regularly throughout the night

• Heat or cooling support as needed

• We remain home during the final weeks before whelping

​

We believe strong foundations begin with proper nutrition. Our puppies are raised on a carefully considered raw and fresh diet to support healthy growth, development and long-term wellbeing.

• Raised on a balanced raw/fresh diet

• We utilise balanced raw/fresh formulations, including reputable Australian raw/fresh brands where appropriate

• No commercial kibble

• Introduce raw meaty bones from 4 weeks

Early Socialisation & Enrichment

​

From 3-4 weeks of age our puppies graduate to their spacious playroom within our home where they begin discovering the world in a safe, enriching way. We carefully introduce new textures, sounds and experiences so they grow into confident adaptable companions.

• Tunnels, ball pits and varied toys

• Normal household sounds (vacuum, kitchen, music, tv)

• Gentle handling and daily interaction

• Owners are welcomed from 4 weeks

Cleanliness & Hygiene

​

​We believe a clean environment is just as important as enrichment, our puppies are raised in a carefully maintained space where hygiene and health are prioritised every day.

• Puppy room is steam cleaned and disinfected daily

• Bedding and toys washed daily

• Puppies kept clean and gently freshened when needed

Outdoor Exploration

​

From four weeks of age, our puppies begin enjoying supervised outdoor time where they explore grass, dirt, and natural textures in a safe and controlled environment.​

• Access to undercover deck and large yard

• Never left unsupervised or outside overnight

• Safe introduction to our other dogs through secure fencing

 

Handling & Grooming

​

From their earliest days, our puppies are gently handled so they grow comfortable with human touch and routine care.

​

• Bodies, feet, mouths and faces handled daily

• Toenails trimmed as needed

• First bath between 4-5 weeks

• Introduced to regular grooming routines

Early Training & Experiences

​

We begin laying foundations for confident companions through positive early experiences.

• Short car rides

• Introduction to simple cues such as sit and shake

• Positive reward based learning
